RTP and several other organizations, institutions, corporations, individuals, etc. participated in the 7th Annual Minority Health Summit on June 21, 2025 and are included in this analysis and evaluation, carried out by research experts at the City of Hope Medical Center, indicating excellent results. Overview
The analysis of the Minority health Summit involved 34 participants who completed both scaled and open-ended survey questions. This report summarizes the feedback from participants, highlighting the summit’s most beneficial aspects and areas for improvement.
Most Beneficial Components
82% of participants identified the overall experience, and 88% indicated the content and topics presented as outstanding. The Specific Medical Topics were endorsed as key strengths of the summit by 88% of the participants. This included sessions focused on illnesses including heart disease, skin disease, nutrition and health lifestyle, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, cancer, and treatments; and health disparities including AI and machine learning that are particularly relevant to underserved Black and Brown communities. Other themes included the Quality of Presenters and the emphasis on Health Disparities and Solutions, although these were mentioned less frequently. Networking Opportunities were highlighted by 85% of attendees as valuable aspect, underscoring the importance of collaboration among participants. Overall, these findings indicate that the summit successfully delivered relevant, timely, and impactful health information while also fostering professional and community connections.
Areas of Improvement
Participants highlighted areas where the summit could be improved. The most mentioned themes were Audio-Visual and Technical Setup (22.7%) and Event Logistics and Timing (22.7%). Additional suggestions included expanding Speaker and Content Topics (18.2%), enhancing Interactivity and Engagement (13.6%), and improving Comfort and Amenities, such as room temperature and refreshments (13.6%). A smaller percentage of participants requested improvements in Communication and Materials (4.5%) and Event Frequency and Format (4.5%).
Conclusion
The summit received positive feedback from participants, who appreciated its relevance, quality, and networking opportunities. For future summits, it is important to focus on improving the technical setup, scheduling, and interactivity. Additionally, expanding the content while ensuring attendee comfort will enhance the overall experience. These improvements will help maximize the educational value and satisfaction of participants.
